Student Refunds

If you are an active student and have a credit balance, excluding temporary credits, you may be entitled to receive a refund. In fact, approximatley 50% of Penn students receive a refund annually.

Student Financial Services requests you enroll in direct deposit to expidite your refund. You will need to enter your bank account (checking or savings) information on Penn's secure website.

In addition, your bank information will also be used by the University’s Payroll Office if you are working at Penn; this would include work-study jobs and other Penn employment. Sign up online here.

Accounts must be with a domestic financial institution (bank or credit union); accounts in foreign financial institutions are not eligible. It takes at least two (2) weeks for the information to become active upon receipt of your account information. Wachovia Bank is the University’s Treasury Services Provider.
