Work-Study |
| Federal Work-Study (FWS)
awards are made by Student Financial Services to eligible
students for the academic year. Work-Study "credit" is
not applied to your bill. You will receive a weekly
paycheck based on the actual hours worked. For detailed
information regarding the FWS program, review the Student
Employment Handbook at www.sfs.upenn.edu/seo. Direct
inquiries to (215) 898-6966 or e-mail seo@sfs.upenn.edu. |

| Penn Work-Study |
| Penn Work-Study may be awarded in place
of Federal Work-Study in cases where the combination
of Federal Work-Study, grants and scholarships, and
subsidized student loans would otherwise exceed federal
need, based on the federal family contribution formula.
Penn Work-Study works just like Federal Work-Study,
except that the University’s financial aid funds,
rather than federal funds, are used to pay part of
your earnings. Students with Penn Work-Study have equal
access to listed work-study positions.Direct inquiries
to (215) 898-6966 or e-mail seo@sfs.upenn.edu. |

| Loan/Work-Study
Job Adjustments |
| Students may request additional
loan in lieu of all or part of a work-study job. However,
SFS encourages students to work in order to keep borrowing
to a minimum. |
