Summary
Wharton Social Impact Initiative is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented undergraduate student to support its general operations. The student is expected to be available for an average of 10-15 hours per week and will be reporting to multiple team members. The student may be invited to special activities hosted by WSII, including lunches, speaker series, trainings, and group meetings. This is an opportunity to work closely with social impact practitioners and faculty and to learn about the field. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Assisting with WSIIs meetings and events with logistics, staffing, and follow-up, including analyzing attendee survey data
o Supporting WSIIs Vice Dean and MGMT faculty Katherine Klein with her work with WSII and MGMT department
o Providing one-off research support to assess opportunities and evaluate leads, as necessary
We are seeking a diverse range of candidates that meet many of the following attributes and skills:
o Current Wharton/Penn undergraduate student with an exceptional level of organization and detail-oriented-ness
o Strong research, written, and verbal communication skills
o Ability to professional communicate with WSII staff and stakeholders and manage up, when necessary

Responsibilities can include regular independent supervision and/or coordination of programs and/or projects involving highly complex equipment, analysis of data. Often requires the ability to communicate skills or expertise to others. Regular independent decision-making. The decisions of students in these positions could directly affect the operation and success of the project or program. Limited, if any, supervision.
